TabTrade.com - The Honest Breakdown

The Broker — What It Is

Tab Trade opened in March 2026. Trading platform registered in Saint Lucia, under the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.

That last detail is relevant. It says the person running this has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. Still more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.

TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix data centre access in London. Same facilities banks and hedge funds use. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. These guys led with infrastructure. Not the typical playbook.

What you can trade: forex, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For something this new, the breadth is not narrow.

The Software

Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Two major platforms from the same login. Most brokers pick one platform. Having both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.

MetaTrader 5 is the default. Complete charts, automated trading, massive community. If you have used a MetaQuotes platform previously, there are no surprises.

cTrader is the more modern one. Better depth of market. More responsive charts. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 after comparing.

Direct FIX connectivity is offered for algo traders but is only on the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is apparently coming. That should round things out when it lands.

Costs

Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. Zero commission. Straightforward. Zero deposit requirement. Works for beginners.

Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the actual interbank spread is often a fraction of a pip. So your actual cost per trade sometimes sits under half a pip. That is cheap for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that have spreads this tight want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.

VIP. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not something typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.

Infrastructure

This is where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Under 30ms on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. Most retail brokers run a much wider range.

Should you care? If you scalp, yes. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. The point is the setup is serious. That says what kind of broker this is.

Pair those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get makes sense. Not many platforms with no minimum deposit offer execution like this.

Regulation

Here is the part you need to be straight about. TabTrade is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No government-backed safety net. If the lack of tier-1 regulation makes you uncomfortable, this broker is not for you. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.

However. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is expensive. Dodgy operations do not pay for Equinix connectivity. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. It does factor into your decision.

The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether this deal makes sense depends on you.

The Bonus

Tab Trade offers bonus funds of up to $2,000. Usual deposit match. You deposit, TabTrade credit extra capital. The normal fine print: trading volume requirements before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Read the conditions before funding.
